POTOSI -- Meca Jane Shaw, 81, of Potosi died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
Shaw was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Mt. Vernon, Ind., daughter of Charles and Sophia Reed Aters. She married Andrew Jackson Shaw on Sept. 10, 1945, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1971.
Shaw was a housewife and attended Parker Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucy "Pat" Henson and Wanda Swedholm, both of Mineral Point; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, five brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one great-great grandson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today in the Nunnelee Chapel in Sikeston. The Revs. Jake Lawson and Maxey Schrieber will officiate, with burial to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
