McAdoo "Mac" Winchester, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1920, in McClure, Ill., son of Arthur and Della Dillard Winchester. He and Hattie Stewart were married Dec. 19, 1942, in Jackson.
Mr. Winchester graduated from McClure High School. He was a welder 11 years and then was a potato and onion broker 15 years in the Los Angeles area. He retired and bought a farm in Arkansas. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1983.
Survivors include two nephews, Arthur "Bud" Waterman of Cape Girardeau, Alan Litzelfelner of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; six nieces, Rebecca LaBlanc of Winter Haven, Fla., Joan Allen of Union, Mo., Patricia Wolfe of Kingsville, Texas, LaVerne Mosby of Cape Girardeau, Delaine Sietz of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Rita Duncan of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters and a niece.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to service time today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro City Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ill.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
