CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Maye Bradley Barnes, 80, of Charleston, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. She was born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Scott County, daughter of Schuyler Anson and Rita Pearl Lewis Bradley. She and Paul Wilson Barnes were married on Sept. 7, 1947. He survives...

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Maye Bradley Barnes, 80, of Charleston, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Scott County, daughter of Schuyler Anson and Rita Pearl Lewis Bradley. She and Paul Wilson Barnes were married on Sept. 7, 1947. He survives.

Barnes was employed at First Security State Bank in Charleston and Security Bank in Cairo, Ill. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, John Bradley of Godfrey, lll.; and two sisters, Ella Gay Wolferding of Onalaska, Wis., and Vernetta Chappell of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at funeral home with the Rev. Jim Malugen officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
