METROPOLIS, Ill. -- May F. Shelton, 59, of Metropolis died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. She was born May 6, 1943, daughter of Ray A. and Mary Poole Shelton. METROPOLIS, Ill. -- May F. Shelton, 59, of Metropolis died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
She was born May 6, 1943, daughter of Ray A. and Mary Poole Shelton. She was formerly of East Prairie, Mo.
Survivors include a brother, Clinton Shelton of Jonesboro, and a sister, Margaret Whybark of East Prairie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Crain Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
