MAXINE PERRY

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral for Maxine Perry of Dongola will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Bill Branstetter and Kip Adams will officiate, with burial in Christian Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday until service time.

Perry, 78, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 10, 1998, on arrival at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born May 31, 1920, in Dongola, daughter of Walter and Evelyn Karraker Johnson. She and Manford "Hap" Perry were married June 7, 1939. He died Sept. 7, 1972.

Perry retired from the dietary department at the former Anna State Hospital. She also had worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Anna. She was a member of Dongola Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, June Linder of Dongola; a sister, Barbara Frizzell of Dongola; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two brothers.
