Maxine Montgomery

Maxine Montgomery, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the Chateau Girardeau.

She was born July 16, 1916, in Fruitland, Mo., daughter of Guy and Eutha Hansel.

She married Henry Montgomery in Cape Girardeau on March 10, 1949. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Patty Orr (Russell) of Clarksville, Tenn.; one son, Malcolm Montgomery (Patty) of Cape Girardeau; and two nephews, Bill McLaughlin (Anne, deceased) of Lenoir, N.C., and Mike McLaughlin (Madelen) of Cape Girardeau.

Grandchildren include Marjorie Elder, Wade Orr, Allison Montgomery, Holly Montgomery and Samuel Montgomery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Ford and Son's Funeral Home on Mount Auburn in Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be followed by funeral services at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Kabo Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Creek Cemetery in Pocohontus.

Memorials are requested to be made to Teen Challenge of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
