Maxine McIntyre, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Nov. 29, 1925, at Jackson, daughter of Otto and Annie Oldham Goehman. She and Herman McIntyre were married Dec. 23, 1941. The McIntyres lived near Sikeston a number of years and worked for the E.P. Coleman Farms. They moved to Cape Girardeau in 1959 from Jackson...

Maxine McIntyre, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Nov. 29, 1925, at Jackson, daughter of Otto and Annie Oldham Goehman. She and Herman McIntyre were married Dec. 23, 1941.

The McIntyres lived near Sikeston a number of years and worked for the E.P. Coleman Farms. They moved to Cape Girardeau in 1959 from Jackson.

She worked in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn 28 years. She attended Word of Faith Fellowship Church, and was a member of VFW Auxiliary 3838.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Howard and Gary McIntyre of Cape Girardeau, Bradley McIntyre of Phoenix, Ariz., Roger McIntyre of Jackson; five daughters, Judy Biester of Whitewater, Sue Heisserer of Benton, Teresa Payne of Sedgewickville, Linda Kight of Delta, Delona Mills of Jackson; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, five brothers, three sisters, two granddaughters, and a grandson.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
