MATTHEWS -- Maxine M. Bailey, 79, of Matthews, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 20, 1913, at Blodgett, daughter of Eldon Richard and Grace Hampton Tisdel. She married Clarence Bailey in 1932 at Blodgett. He died Sept. 28, 1966.
Bailey worked 25 years at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star in Sikeston.
Survivors include nieces, Joy Guthrie of Memphis, Tenn., Jeanette Wilson of St. Louis; nephews, Richard Lane of Ohio, Larry Lane of Canalou, and Donald Rhodes of Ruston, La.
She was preceded in death by two children and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
