Maxine Heuschober, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born March 6, 1930, at Dutchtown to Albert and Rosalia Simpher Heisserer. She married William Heuschober on June 5, 1948, at Dutchtown. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1993.
Maxine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was also a devoted housekeeper and cook for more than 20 years.
She is survived by a son, Mike Heuschober of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Beverly (Mike) Augustine; two grandsons, Jeff (Amy) Augustine of Cape Girardeau and Chad Heuschober of New York, N.Y.; three granddaughters, Sara Augustine (Brian Russel) of Cape Girardeau, Gail (Dave) Johnson of Springfield, Ill., Jill Heuschober of St. Louis; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Madalaine and Owen Michael; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will follow.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Tom Kiefer as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
