VANDUSER, Mo. -- Maxine M. Hale, 82, of Vanduser died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of Fred Mack and Nadas Mae Stevens Jones. She and Jack Hale were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Benton, Mo. He died Sept. 16, 1992...

VANDUSER, Mo. -- Maxine M. Hale, 82, of Vanduser died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of Fred Mack and Nadas Mae Stevens Jones. She and Jack Hale were married Oct. 5, 1940, in Benton, Mo. He died Sept. 16, 1992.

Hale was a member of Vanduser Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Rodney Hale of Sikeston; four daughters, Nadas Drew and Charlotte Hale of Vanduser, Bonnie Vincent of Shreveport, La., Debbie Freeman of Jefferson City, Mo.; a brother, Billy Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Shirley Marshall of Kingman, Ariz., Imogene Hudson and Carolyn Jones of Houston, Texas, Glenda Foxworth of Virginia Beach, Va.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Dan Richardson and the Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
