Maxine Boner

ORAN, Mo. — Maxine Boner, 73, of Oran died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at her home. She was born March 2, 1935, at Du Quoin, Ill., daughter of Dan and Nora Jones. She and Robert Boner were married in 1949 in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 21, 1999. Boner was a nurse at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2001. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, and attended Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau...

ORAN, Mo. — Maxine Boner, 73, of Oran died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at her home.

She was born March 2, 1935, at Du Quoin, Ill., daughter of Dan and Nora Jones. She and Robert Boner were married in 1949 in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 21, 1999.

Boner was a nurse at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2001. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, and attended Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Boner of Benton, Ark., Jeff Boner of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Brian Boner of Oran; two daughters, Joann Gillman of Frostproof, Fla., Linda White of Fruitland; a sister, Nancy Armstrong of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Oran, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating.

Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
