Graveside service for Maxine Blackshear was held Wednesday at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. John Goff officiated.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Blackshear, 79, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Hunter Acres Nursing Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of David Leroy and Mae Christina Mansker Lincoln.

Blackshear moved to the Cape Girardeau area several years ago from Indiana. She had worked at VIP Industries and Superior Electric.

Survivors include three sisters, Bernice Hunter of Gresham, Ore., Celeste Mouser of Jackson, Mo., and Marie Smith of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
