William "Max" Maxwell Brown, 29, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022.

Max was born June 28, 1993, in Phoenix, the son of Roger "Bill" William and Kerri Brown. He married Danielle Harville on Oct. 23, 2021, and she survives in Cape Girardeau.

Max achieved his college degree in the culinary arts. He worked for Laborers Union No. 225. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3775 and had close ties to Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks No. 369.

Max enjoyed playing darts, fishing and cooking. He will be remembered as a wild, loving, overprotective and selfless person. His wife, children, family and friends were his everything in life.

In addition to his parents, Roger "Bill" and Kerri Brown of Cape Girardeau, and wife, Danielle Brown, he is also survived by his three children, Ashlynn Brown, William Maxwell Brown II and Branson Brown; siblings, Alexander Leonard Brown of Akron, Ohio, and Lisa Marie Harrington Dehart of Mesa, Arizona; grandfather, Eugene Stys of Litchfield Park, Arizona; father- and mother-in-law, Doug and Barbara Harville of Shattuc, Illinois; and brother-in-law, Greg Harville of Shattuc.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger Earl Brown, Mary Lou Brown and Nancy Stys.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday, Oct. 14, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.

Funeral will be at noon Friday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Eagles No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau, and a celebration of life service will also be held Sunday, Oct. 30, at the AMVETS, 13335 Morse St., in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Danielle Brown and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 N. Sycamore St., Centralia, IL 62801, (618) 532-3523, which is honored to be of service to the Brown family.
