ZALMA, Mo. -- Max Benfield, 52, of Zalma passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957, in Kankakee, Ill.; son of Clyde James Sr. and Norma L. Killian Benfield. He and Robin Tobin were married Sept. 1, 1991.
Mr. Benfield worked in construction and drove a truck for Arab Stone.
Survivors include his wife, Robin of Zalma; five daughters, Max-an Benfield of Wappapello, Mo., Jessi-may Benfield of Benton, Pa., April Hennessy and Michelle Schafforth of Kankakee, Amanda Collins of Patterson, Mo.; a brother, Mike Benfield of Clifton, Ill.; a sister, Charlotte Koenig of Caseyville, Ill.; and seven granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clyde James Benfield Jr.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cletus Benfield officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
