MAURITA MCGEE

Maurita Maude McGee, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Oct. 11, 1907, in Rossville, Ill., daughter of Andrew Daniel and Mary Ann Prather Miller. She and Thomas McGee were married March 15, 1930, in Rossville. He died Aug. 26, 1965...

Maurita Maude McGee, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 11, 1907, in Rossville, Ill., daughter of Andrew Daniel and Mary Ann Prather Miller. She and Thomas McGee were married March 15, 1930, in Rossville. He died Aug. 26, 1965.

The McGees moved to Cape Girardeau in the late 1940s. They owned and operated Rigdon Laundry many years. After retiring she lived in Rossville and Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include friends, Eric and Karla Marquart of Cape Girardeau, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call at Wolfe Funeral Home in Rossville from 1-2 p.m. Monday.

Graveside service will be at 2:15 p.m. Monday at Rossville Cemetery.
