CYPRESS, Ill. -- Maurine Francis Aldrich, 93, of Cypress died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 10, 1907, in St. Louis, daughter of Walter and Izora Beggs Francis. She and Willard Aldrich were married. He died in 1958.
She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught in the Anna-Jonesboro, Ill., school system and also at El Paso, Texas. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.
She attended First United Methodist Church in Karnak, Ill. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star Egyptian Chapter 30 in Vienna, Ill., and the Metropolis, Ill., White Shrine. She was also a member of the Order of Amaranth of Illinois. She was a member of the retired teachers association of Illinois.
Survivors include several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Eastern Star rites will be at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be at 1:15 p.m. today at the Masonic Cemetery in Cypress. The Rev. Jay Franklin will officiate.
