CENTRALIA, Ill. -- Maurice Laverne Mainer, 90, of Centralia, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at the Centralia Friendship House.
He was born Dec. 20, 1909, at McClure, son of John William and Hattie Parlee Craig Mainer.
Mainer attended the Jacksonville School for the Deaf for five years and was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Centralia.
Survivors include two brothers, Archibald Cecil Mainer of Hoffman, and Fred E. Mainer of Centralia; three sisters, Vela Wike of Joliet, Elaine Piercy of Arvin, Calif., and Peggy Jackson of Centralia.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lindsey Cemetery at McClure. The Rev. Nathan Melvin will officiate, with burial at the cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.
