Maurice "Moe" Alfred Desaulniers, 68, of Jackson died Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born July 26, 1953, in Norwich, Connecticut, to Francois Xavier and Marie Margaret Lefebvre Desaulniers. He and Carla "Carlee" Hull were married Jan. 1, 2001, in Hawaii.
Moe was the fleet manager for the City of Norwich for 34 years.
He lived in Jackson for the past 21 years.
Moe's great loves in life were his wife, children, grandkids and dogs. He was an avid NASCAR fan, Patriots fan and Jackson football follower.
Survivors include his wife, Carla "Carlee" Hull Desaulniers; children, Chris (Tiffany) Desaulniers, Robin (fiance, Christopher Enos) Piercy, Bryan (friend, Bethany Lee) Altenthal and Bekki (Kevin) Crawford; grandchildren, Zackery, Madilyn, Jackson, Jaydon, Teghan, London, T.J., Dylan, Desirai, Derek, Isaak, Damian and Micaela; siblings, Phyllis Cummings, Pete (Linda) Desaulniers, Joyce (George) Allum, Norma Howard and Harland, Debra (Mark) LeJeunesse, Janice Burke and Tina (Michael) Dempsey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Jane Hull; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Moe was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cordell and Geraldine Hull; sister, Margaret Kempesta; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Cummings and Norman Kempesta.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
The family encourages visitors to wear masks.
