EAST PRAIRIE -- Maurice D. Hilton, 80, of East Prairie died Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 12, 1914, in Clarkton, the son of Edward and Euple Shipman Hilton. On Jan. 30, 1943, he married Charlsie Pauline Sanders at St. Louis.
Hilton had lived in Mississippi County since 1946, moving from St. Louis. He was a retired mechanic for French Implement near Charleston and was of member of the Church of Christ in East Prairie. He was also a member of the East Prairie Eagles Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Marlin D. Hilton of Parris Island, S.C., and Richard G. Hilton of Starkville, Miss.; two daughters, Margie Janet Cullen of Poplar Bluff and Ramona Deneice Williams of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Roy Allen Hilton of Russellville, Ark., Jimmy R. Hilton of Memphis, Tenn., and Fay E. Hilton of Fort Myers, Fla.; three sisters, Mary L. James and Betty J. Walker of Memphis and Mildred Simmons of Evansville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Aubrey Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
