VANDUSER -- Maudie M. Cowell, 86, formerly of Vanduser, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 24, 1910, in Lamar, Ark., daughter of Edward E. and Edith M. Daniels Patterson. She and Troy Cowell were married Nov. 4, 1928, in Lamar. He died March 8, 1985.
Cowell was a member of Vanduser Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Cowell of Sedgewickville; two daughters, Stella Wisdom of East Carondelet, Ill., Verna Gilliland of Sikeston; a brother, Raymond Patterson of New Madrid; eight grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Gene Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
