CHAFFEE -- Maude Elizabeth Austin, 80, of Chaffee, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 6, 1914, at Millersville, daughter of Burette Oliver and Addie Mae Robbins Brown. She and Clyde Estes Austin were married in 1937. He died May 17, 1960.
Austin was a member of First Baptist Church at Delta and Order of Eastern Star at Whitewater.
Survivors include four sons, Keith Austin of Gresham, Ore., Kenneth Austin of Jackson, Lanny Austin of Cape Girardeau, Samuel Austin of Chaffee; three daughters, Brenda Dysinger and Beverly Payne of Chaffee, Sandra Dunning of Delta; two brothers, John Brown of Fredericktown, Loomis "Jock" Brown of Jackson; four sisters, Mildred Runnels and Bonnie Clardy of Jackson, Dorothy Stroder of Chaffee, Iva Houchins of Whitewater; 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church in Delta at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Glen Golden officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
