Maude C. Cox, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1993, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born May 16, 1901, in Harrisburg, Ill., daughter of John Hutson and LuElla Duty Causey. She and Azro Loyd Cox were married in 1920 at Bloomfield. He died June 23, 1948.
Cox moved to Cape Girardeau 23 years ago from Essex. She was a retired postal clerk. Cox was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church here, and Order of Eastern Star at Dexter.
Survivors include a son, James Cox of Syracuse, Ind.; two daughters, Sina Kaiser of Cape Girardeau, Ruth Emery of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Dortha Affolder of Pontiac, Mich., Martha Wallace of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and grandson.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Miles White will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
