Matthew Ulrich, 46, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019.
He was born Sept. 25, 1972, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Phillip and Cindy Benton Ulrich. He and Shelly Haman were married June 19, 1993, in Egypt Mills.
Matt worked locally as an electrician. He served honorably in the U.S. Army for six years, with deployments to Iraq. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Loving survivors include his parents; his wife, Shelly; two sons, Matthew (Emily) Ulrich and Christopher (Jennifer Wren) Ulrich, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mikel (Kevin) Drury of Scott City; two brothers, Christopher and Phillip Ulrich; and three sisters, Laura Vernikos, Melinda Ulrich and Jenny Ulrich.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Matix Ulrich, Aiden Drury and Benjamin Drury, with one on the way, Vera Ulrich.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating, followed by full military rites.
