MATHIE DANIEL

ORAN, Mo. -- Mathie D. Daniel, 79, of Oran died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Feb. 15, 1921, at Newton County, Ark., son of Jess D. and Martha Mable Holman Daniel.

He and Vennie Marie Ritchie were married March 19, 1941. She survives.

He was a retired steel laborer and had worked for Affiliated Hospital Products in St. Louis, Mo.

Other survivors include two sons, Randy Daniel of Benton, Mo., and Steven Daniel of Hillsboro, Mo.; a brother, Hartsil Daniel of Sikeston; two sisters, Raymona Worley of Columbia, Mo., and Nadine Turner of New Madrid, Mo., a half sister, Faye Hooper Bryant of Morehouse, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and a grandson.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
