KELSO -- Mat August Georger, 85, of Kelso, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 15, 1913, at Kelso, son of Charles and Louise Schoen Georger.
He married Rose D. Tuccy on Aug. 20, 1955, at Chicago. She survives.
He was a farmer and worked in construction. He had also worked at St. Anthony' Hospital in St. Louis and at Sport Specialty Shoe Factory in Chaffee. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Other survivors include a brother, Lucas Georger of Advance; five sisters, Sister Augusta Georger and Sister Elaine Georger, both of Cape Girardeau, Coena Dambach of Malden, Alvena Lett, Scott City and Marina Georger, Chaffee; and a number of nephew and nieces.
Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. A parish Rosary will be held Sunday at 7 p.m.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
