Maryann Dzur

Maryann I. Dzur, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Nov. 25, 1911, in Duluth, Minn., daughter of Oscar and Clara Wester Carlson. She and James Gustav Dzur were married in 1939 in Gardiner, Mont. He preceded her in death.

Dzur was a member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O., Quest Club and longtime volunteer at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. James Dzur of Nampa, Idaho, retired Col. Robert Dzur of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Marilee Dennington of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

There is no local visitation or service. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Kingfisher, Okla.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
