TRUMANN, Ark. -- Mary Margaret Willis, 78, of Trumann died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born Oct. 17, 1930, to James F. and Connie (Cole) Orr in Burdette, Ark. She was married to Garland Eugene Willis on Nov. 7, 1947, at Dyess, Ark. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1984.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Trumann Housing Authority Resident Advisory Board and a Baptist.
Survivors include four sons, Madison (Fran) Willis of Perryville, Mo., William (Teresa) Willis of Payneway, Ark., David (Pam) Willis of Trumann, Eddie Willis of Jackson; four daughters, Mary Ann (Billy) McIntare of Tyronza, Ark., Janis Lawrence (Roger Morgan) and Gail (Steve) Cockrell, both of Lepanto, Ark., Sharon (Wayne) Gotto of Perryville.; two brothers, Robert Orr and Larry Orr, both of Winter Haven, Fla.; three sisters, Myrtle Boyer of Memphis, Tenn., Dorothy Chapple of Gardendale, Ala., Nancy Wood of Winter Haven; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two caregivers, Paulette Brooks and Kathy McGlothan.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Gerald Glenn Willis; a great-grandson, Jacob Hargrove; and a sister, Sandra Wages.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
