MARY WERNECK

SIKESTON -- Mary Eleanor Werneck, 77, of Sikeston died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 31, 1921, at Bloomfield, daughter of Albert and Lura Cossairt. She and Bill Werneck were married Jan. 13, 1945. He died Sept. 6, 1968.

Werneck had worked for State of Missouri Bureau of the Blind. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Myers of Sikeston; a sister, Ruth Wilson of Bloomfield; two brothers, Ralph Cossairt of Paducah, Ky., Charles Cossairt of Cape Girardeau; three grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Gaines will officiate.
