JACKSON -- Funeral Mass for Mary Caroline Weisbrod of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. Edward Eftink will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Apple Creek.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by the rosary service conducted by the Jackson Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Weisbrod, 73, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 22, 1926, near Apple Creek, daughter of August A. and Wilhelmina Unterreiner Meyer. She and Cletus Weisbrod were married April 12, 1947.

Weisbrod retired from Kmart in Cape Girardeau in 1991. She also had worked at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, and the former International Shoe Companies in Jackson and Perryville.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its St. Ann's Sodality, Quilt Club, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Bullinger of Sleepy Hollow, Ill.; three sons, Dale Weisbrod of Festus, David Weisbrod of Barnhart, and Daniel Weisbrod of Ste. Genevieve.

Also surviving are four brothers, Walter Meyer of St. Charles, Lonnie, Wilfred and Eugene Meyer, all of St. Louis; four sisters, Trula Van Deven of Apple Creek, Frances Winschel and Viola Tolcou of St. Louis, Sister Virginia Meyer of St. James; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, and a brother.
