SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary L. Webber, 88, of Sikeston died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary L. Webber, 88, of Sikeston died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Portageville, Mo., daughter of William and Elizabeth Davidson House.

Webber owned and operated restaurants in Morehouse, Mo., and Sikeston. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include a daughter, Pansy Thorpe of Beloit, Wis.; four sisters, Gladys Smith and Betty Butler of Portageville, Mo., Margie Todd of Sikeston; Ruby Rooker of New Madrid, Mo.; a friend, Lyman Dale of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Leland Butler officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
