MARY WATERS

SIKESTON -- Mary Louise Waters, 76, of Chapel Hill, N.C., formerly of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the University of North Carolina Hospital.

She was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Benton, daughter of Judge Marshall E. Montgomery and Perle Black Montgomery. She and Allen "Buddy" Waters were married June 7, 1944, in Washington, D.C.

She was a member of the University Methodist Church in Chapel Hill and had volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program.

Survivors include her mother of Sikeston; her husband; three sons, Robert Waters of Washington, William Waters of Colorado Springs, Colo., and James Waters of Miami; a brother, Robert M. Montgomery of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Revs. Jim Davis and Rick Lasley officiating.

Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
