Mary M. Wade, 82, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at her home.
She was born May 23, 1933, in Jackson to the late Wilson C. and Pearlie Mae Horell Mitchell. Mary was united in marriage to Benny Wade, who precedes her in death.
She attended Lincoln Grade School in Jackson and John S. Cobb High School in Cape Girardeau. She retired from Lee-Rowan Co. in Jackson after 33 years of service and was a member of Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jackson, where she had served as district missionary for the southern district.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Gloria) Wade of Hoxie, Kansas, and Kerry (Karen) Wade of Boston; two daughters, Syvilla (Sherman) Swan of Jackson and Beverly McKinley of Atlanta; two brothers, Bobby Mitchell of Jackson and Raymond Mitchell of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Alfreda Bird of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a godson, Eddie McClary of California; a very special friend, Rosa Brook of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Sunday until the funeral hour of 1 p.m. at Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jackson, with Apostle William Bird officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
