Mary Loretta Vandeven, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Jan. 26, 1905, in Oran, daughter of Henry and Anna Jelen Burger. She married William H. Vandeven June 5, 1928.
Vandeven was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Daughters of Isabella and Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Vandeven Jr. of Jefferson City, James Vandeven of Washington Crossing, Pa.; two daughters, Jeanette Dohogne of Cape Girardeau, Martha Herring of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a brother, the Rev. Joe Burger of Blackwell, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., and the rosary by Knights of Columbus Council 1111 will be recited at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Joe Burger officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery.
