Mary Thompson

PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Mary Eileen Thompson, 80, of Perryville died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Independence Care Center.

She was born April 12, 1928, in Detroit, daughter of Noel E. and Hazel M. Eugas Johnson. She and Richard E. Thompson were married April 16, 1947, in Arkansas. He died Dec. 4, 1991.

Thompson had been a pharmacy billing clerk and schoolteacher in rural Perry County, Mo. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Johnson of Perryville, Kitty Schrecengost of Mineola, Texas; two sons, Ronald Thompson of Big Spring, Texas, Tim Thompson of Waynesville, Ga.; a brother, Dan Johnson of Perryville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to time of service Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dave Wood officiating. Burial will be in Whitewater Christian Cemetery in Perry County.
