VIENNA, Ill. -- Mary Swafford Petty, 60, of Vienna, died Saturday, July 8, 1995, at Massac Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1935, at Makanda, daughter of Raymond and Velda Crowell Swafford. She married Floyd L. "Cotton" Petty on March 7, 1953, at Cobden.
Summers was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna. She worked as a machine operator in the garment industry before retiring.
She is survived by her mother; her husband; two sons, Gary Petty of Mesa, Ariz., and Floyd Lee Petty of Sumner, Wash.; a daughter, Nancy Dibola of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Phyliss Smothers of Cobden; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Day officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
