SIKESTON - Mary D. Schumacher, 52, of Sikeston, died Friday, March 18, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 18, 1942, in East Prairie, to Harris E. and Bessie M. Roach Wright, who survive of Sikeston.
On Dec. 2, 1972, she married Francis X. Schumacher, III, in Sikeston, who survives of the home. Other survivors include one son, Robert E. Casey of Sikeston; two brothers, Jimmie L. Wright of Decatur, Ala., and Billy D. Wright of Florissant. Two grandchildren also survive.
Schumacher formerly worked 18 years in the pathology department at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was a registered nurse at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1989 from Maryville College in St. Louis. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., today, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Parish prayers will be recited at 7 p.m., today.
The funeral mass will be held Monday, at 11 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Robert Schumacher and Msgr. William Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
