Mary Schrader

Mary I. Schrader, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1921, at Mansfield, Mo., daughter of Ira and Lola Pope Brazeal. She and Charles F. "Dopey" Schrader were married Aug. 8, 1942, in Spartanburg, S.C.

Schrader attended school at Chaffee, Mo., and was a 1944 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Schrader of Eureka, Mo.; three daughters, Judith Lueders and Jayne Schrader of Cape Girardeau, Carol Emery of Smithfield, Va.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, a sister, and an infant grandson.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and at Trinity Lutheran Church after 1 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
