Mary Rose James, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born March 1, 1941, in Jackson, to the late Elmer and Dorothy Rose Palisch. Mary Rose and Earl W. James were married Sept. 30, 1962, in Cape Girardeau.
She worked for 25-plus years for First National Bank and later Centerre Bank. Mary Rose also worked for Central Hardware and Big River Communications.
She was a faithful member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Earl James of Cape Girardeau; a son, Daniel (Jennifer) James of Jackson; a brother, John (Pat) Palisch of Jackson; a sister, Susan (Jan) Goris of Wentzville, Missouri; and grandsons, Josh and Seth James of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Dehne officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial donations may be given to Saxony Lutheran High School.
