ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Roberts, 89, of Anna died Wednesday, July 13, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill. She was born Oct. 3, 1916, at Hornersville, Mo., daughter of Will and Ollie Thomas Sorrels. She married Raymond Roberts, who died Nov. 3, 1979...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Roberts, 89, of Anna died Wednesday, July 13, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.

She was born Oct. 3, 1916, at Hornersville, Mo., daughter of Will and Ollie Thomas Sorrels. She married Raymond Roberts, who died Nov. 3, 1979.

Survivors include four sons, Raymond Roberts of Anna, Charles and Albert Roberts of Cobden, Ill., Dennis Roberts of Elgin, Ill.; two daughters, Delores Holderfield of Chester, Ill., Patricia Dillworth of Paducah, Ky.; a sister, Bessie Baker of Cobden; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from noon until service time today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
