PARMA -- Mary R. Melton, 76, of Parma, died Friday, June 16, 1995, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, at Kennett, daughter of William Thomas and Susie Fox Romines. She and Cecil Burian Melton were married Dec. 7, 1935, at Cardwell. He died May 26, 1960.
Melton was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. She had lived in Parma since 1940.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Melton of Cheneyville, La.; two daughters, Mary Ford of Parma, Susan Rackley of Gideon; a sister, Dorothy Lewis of Flint, Mich.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnie Lemmons officiating. Burial will be in Senath Cemetery at Senath.
