Mary Frances Phillips, 82, of Gordonville passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Gordonville, to William J. and Edna A. Siemers Winkler. Mary and James D. Phillips were married in 1956 in Gordonville. He preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2010...

Mary Frances Phillips, 82, of Gordonville passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Gordonville, to William J. and Edna A. Siemers Winkler. Mary and James D. Phillips were married in 1956 in Gordonville. He preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2010.

Mary worked at International Shoe Factory in Jackson, was a seamstress, wonderful baker and lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy (Tim) Goodman and Cindy (Mike) Seyer of Jackson and Christy Phillips of St. Louis; a brother, William L. (Evelyn "Sis") Winkler of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Malerie (Brent) Essner, Spencer Goodman, Kelsey (Klayton) Kyle and Clare Seyer; a great-grandson, Brendan Essner, and a great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice, Lutheran Home or Christ Lutheran Church.
