SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Mary Elizabeth Kinnison Peerson, 86, of Savannah, formerly of Southeast Missouri, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Savannah Square Health Care Facility.

A retired music educator, Peerson was born in Sikeston, Mo., and had lived in Denver, and taught music in Washington D.C.

She was a member of the White Bluff United Methodist Church in Savannah, the Newcomers Club, National Music Educators Association and the Savannah Symphony Guild.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda L. Peerson of Savannah.

Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home in Savannah with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Jackson, Mo.
