Mary Y. New, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born April 17, 1929, in Tokyo, Japan. She and Wilmer Charles New were married March 14, 1948, in Tokyo. He died March 22, 1981. New was a seamstress at Howard's 20 years...

Mary Y. New, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born April 17, 1929, in Tokyo, Japan. She and Wilmer Charles New were married March 14, 1948, in Tokyo. He died March 22, 1981.

New was a seamstress at Howard's 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, George New of Stanton, Calif., Paul New of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Marjorie Andrusejko of Jackson, Debbie Rhodes of Clewiston, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. William A. Matzat officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
