PERRYVILLE -- Mary Naomi Schaaf of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 20, 1996, at the Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born May 23, 1925, in Perry County to Harry Odine and Elsie Mary Laws Tucker.
On July 24, 1943, she married Alvin Wilson "Mousie" Schaaf, who died June 23, 1989.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Sodality and Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer.
Survivors include four sons, Michael James Schaaf of St. Charles, Gary J. Schaaf and Daniel Eugene Schaaf, both of Perryville, and Kenneth Dale Schaaf of Lincolnton, N.C.; two daughters, Sharon Donley of Petersburg, Ill., and Gail Lawrence Duvall of Perryville; a sister, Shirley Tucker of St. Louis; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son and four brothers.
Visitation will be today at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. A Catholic wake will be held tonight at 7 at the funeral home.
Mass will be held Tuesday at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
