EAST PRAIRIE -- Graveside service for Mary Lois Morgan of East Prairie will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Dogwood Cemetery. The Rev. David Dowdy will officiate.
Friends may call today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Morgan, 73, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at her home.
She was born July 29, 1926, in Shelby County, Tenn., daughter of William and Pearl Elizabeth Webb James. She and William J. Morgan Jr. were married Aug. 7, 1970.
Morgan had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of St. James General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Fred and Charles Smith of Sacramento, Calif., Charles Bogle of Sikeston; three daughters, Jimmie Golightly and Jeri Garrison of East Prairie, and Darlene Downey of Lyons, Ore.
Also surviving are three stepsons, Dennis, Michael and David Morgan of Smyrna, Tenn.; two sisters, Myrtis Weldon of Capac, Mich., Earlene Ulman of Van Nuys, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
