Mary Martin

Mary E. Martin, 58, of Cape Girardeau went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Sept. 7, 1963, in Harrisburg, Illinois to Jean Paul and Delia Alice Holmes Hollerson She and James (Lenny) Martin were married Nov. 5, 1982 at Stonefort, Illinois.

She was owner and operator of an in home daycare and a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Gregory (Ashley) Martin of Jackson, Corey Alexander (Rebecca) Martin of Scott City; brother, Steve (Debbie) Hollerson of Stonefort; five grandchildren, Jason, Kaleb, Carson, Lillian and Kinley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Lynwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
