Mary Marquardt

Mary C. Marquardt, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1925, at Fancy Farm, Ky., daughter of John and Florence Hobbs Roberts. She and Carl Marquardt were married Sept. 30, 1944. He died Feb. 14, 2003...

Mary C. Marquardt, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born May 26, 1925, at Fancy Farm, Ky., daughter of John and Florence Hobbs Roberts. She and Carl Marquardt were married Sept. 30, 1944. He died Feb. 14, 2003.

Marquardt was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen Marquardt of Cape Girardeau, Douglas Marquardt of Vacaville, Calif., Thomas Marquardt of Stone Mountain, Ga.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Charles Prost officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill.
