JACKSON - Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Mary Marguerite Wallis of Rt. 1, Millersville. She died Friday, March 15, 1991, at her home. She was 80.
She was born April 3, 1910, at Millersville, the daughter of Ora O. and Myrtle Huff Stearns. She married Ernest Wallis on Feb. 26, 1932; he died April 9, 1966.
Wallis had been a school teacher more than 30 years in the Jackson R-2 District.
She was a member of the Millersville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Retired Teachers Association, Millersville Homemakers Club, and Jackson Chapter 21 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Wallis of Millersville, and Bob Wallis of Bothell, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. T.B. Miller and Mrs. W.E. Miller, both of Millersville, and Mrs. Eldon Bone of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.
