Mary E. Maglone, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Robert Valentine and Maude Beckette Diamond. She and Jimmie Maglone were married in Piggott, Ark. He died Feb. 3, 1982.
Maglone was a housekeeper with Landmark Apartments almost 20 years and had been a cook at Southern Cafe. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Eagles Auxiliary 3775.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Robbie Maglone of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Mary Ann Gonzales of Anna, Ill., Vonda Austin of Racine, Wis., Cathy Overbeck of Gordonville, Mo.; three stepsons, Wesley Masterson of Jackson, Mo., Bobbie Joe Masterson of Cape Girardeau, Ronnie Masterson of Mountain View, Mo.; two brothers, Robert "Bud" Diamond and Bill Vantroba of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Georgia Wren and Emma Burton of Cape Girardeau, Betty Riley of Scott City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
