MARY M. ELLISON

SIKESTON -- Mary M. Ellison, 71, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Sikeston, daughter of Clarence and Daisy Smith Carter. She married Max Ellison Jr., who preceded her in death July 19, 1980.

A resident of Sikeston most of her life, she had lived at Benton, Ky., and St. Mary for the past 12 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Carmody of Sikeston and Mary Jean Masters of Anderson, Ind.; a son, Max Allen Ellison of Pekin, Ill.; a sister, Margaret Berry of Monahans, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A son, a sister and four brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Wendy Downing-Birdwell officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
